Vita and David had two priorities for their wedding: have an adventure, and give their guests a good time. Key to pulling this off (because they totally pulled it off!) was picking the right venue. Gilbertsville Farmhouse was perfect for what they were looking for, and their wedding couldn’t have gone better.
They started the day by getting ready in the glamping tents with their wedding party. Some couples do one first look; David and Vita did two! First Vita did a first look with her bridesmaids who enthusiastically hugged her and made her feel so special. Then she and David their first look outside in the woods, where Vita was able to read a note that David had written. Not pictured: the golf cart, which made getting around so much easier! We also got a 360 view of the venue, which was sweet.
After everyone was ready, the ceremony took place, at the gorgeous Hilltop Cathedral – what an amazing backdrop! The ceremony was so much fun, and David cracked some great pharmacist jokes which made for some golden shots of their guests. Afterwards, everyone went for a drinks reception at the Milking Parlour, a converted barn. You wouldn’t think old feeding troughs could ever look chic, but Gilbertsville Farmhouse rocks it.
A couple other cool things about the Gilbertsville: you can’t get lost. There’s these awesome neon signs everywhere that keep you from taking a wrong turn after the dance party, hahaha. They have a separate space just for rehearsal dinners (those are the photos with the green chairs), and if you love animals, you’ve come to the right place. They have donkeys. They have goat yoga. What more do you need?
After their reception, Vita had a dress change, which really allowed her to tear up the dance floor before she and David headed off to their honeymoon (see if you can spot the neon sign!). Their guests headed home after a fantastic night, full of ice cream from the reception, and warm from the giant bonfire that was Vita and David’s parting gift.
